PUBLIC TRANSPORT

Why did we promote public transport usage?

Our aim on the topic of public transport was to increase awareness of the positive impacts using these methods of transport and to analyse how we have impacted the topic of public transport via reflecting if we made an impact on people's choices.

What did we do to promote public transport?

We have created inspiring and informative posters to educate others about how cars and other diesel/petrol single-6 people vehicles have negative impacts and other modes of transport that cause less harm. We have made eye-opening presentations on the negative and more positive impacting vehicles and options. We sent out a survey to have a well rounded idea of where our beginnings lie, and then at the end of the school year are planning to resend the same survey to everyone who completed it. This is to see how we have impacted our community.

Why should we promote public transport?

The reason public transport plays an important role in slowing air pollution is because this mode of transport increases carbon dioxide efficiency. Of global emissions, 29% can be directly attributed to transport, which means that if society were to change commuting habits and increase its use of uptake public transport, emissions can be reduced annually by 37 million metric tons (37 billion kilograms) according to the C2ES.
